WITHIN TEMPTATION



Within Temptation est un groupe néerlandais de metal symphonique avec des influences gothic metal créé en 1996.


En 1996, le guitariste Robert Westerholt et la chanteuse Sharon den Adel, alors amis de longue date, fondent le groupe, qui sera par la suite rejoint par Jeroen van Veen (guitare basse), Martijn Westerholt (claviers) et, après plusieurs autres percussionnistes dont le passage a été éphémère, Ivar de Graaf. Ils se sont vite vus offrir un contrat par DSFA Records, qui leur a permis de travailler sur leur premier album.


Leur tout nouvel album The Heart of Everything est sorti le 12 mars 2007 et sera disponible dans toute l'Europe ainsi qu'aux États-Unis. Le premier single qui en est extrait se nomme What You Have Done, un duo avec Keith Caputo (de Life of Agony), dont le clip a été enregistré du 12 au 14 décembre 2006 à Londres, et pour lequel les fans ont été invités à participer à cet enregistrement vidéo. Deux autres chansons, "The Howling" et "The Sound of Freedom" ont été réalisées spécialement pour le jeu vidéo The Chronicles of Spellborn.


Au cours de sa carrière, Within Temptation a fait ses preuves et parti d'un petit label hollandais, le groupe a su conquérir un public toujours de plus en plus large dans le monde.
